Watermaker Install Kit No1 for Manual Operation

Install Kit No 1: Hand Held TDS Meter and Manual 3-Way Valve

From our experience with installations, there are a few parts that will make the watermaker installation and operation easier, so we have put together the install kits.  Kit No 1 includes the following:

• 30ft of ¼” product water line and fittings.

This is used to send the fresh drinking water to your tank.  Schenker provides an 8mm line, which in the USA can be difficult to find easily sourced fittings.   We provide the ¼” push-to-connect fittings that end the hose in a male ¼” NPT to interface with your boat lines and fittings.

• 3-Way Valve.

This non-blocking valve can be either bulkhead or panel mounted allowing you to route the product water to a Sample position at start-up and then to your ships Tank once you have checked the product water quality.

• Hand Held TDS Meter.

This is used to check the product water quality by filling a glass of watermaker water.

Kit includes the following items:

• Manual 3-way product water valve
• 30ft 1/4″ Product water line with fittings to connect to ships water tank
• Hand held TDS Meter

Install Kit No 2: Panel Mount Continuous TDS Meter and Manual 3-Way Valve

Kit No 2 is our most popular selling kit, as it gives you continuous display of the product water quality and the cost savings and simplicity of a manual 3-Way valve to sending the product water TO or AWAY from the ships tanks.  The Kit includes the following:

• 30ft of ¼” product water line and fittings.

This is used to send the fresh drinking water to your tank.  Schenker provides an 8mm line, which in the USA can be difficult to find easily sourced fittings.   We provide the ¼” push-to-connect fittings that end the hose in a male ¼” NPT to interface with your boat lines and fittings.

• 3-Way Valve.

This non-blocking valve can be either bulkhead or panel mounted allowing you to route the product water to a Sample position at start-up and then to your ships Tank once you have checked the product water quality.

• Panel Mount TDS Continuous Read out Meter with Alarm and Relay outputs.

Install Kit No 3: (Panel Option A)
Continuous TDS Meter with Automatic motorized 3-Way Valve and Purge Bypass switch on Panel Option A

Kit No 3 automates the watermaker start-up procedure of checking of the product water quality and routing the product water To or Away from your ships water tank.

The kit includes the following:

• Panel Option A.  The black panel serves as a mounting platform for the Panel Mount TDS Meter and Auto TDS or Purge Switch.
• 30ft of ¼” product water line and fittings. This is used to send the fresh drinking water to your tank.  Schenker provides an 8mm line, which in the USA can be difficult to find easily sourced fittings.   We provide the ¼” push-to-connect fittings that will end the hose in a male ¼” NPT to interface with your boat lines and fittings.
• Automatic Motorized DC Voltage 3-Way Valve.  Motorized valve is controlled by the Panel Mount TDS Meter to automatically send the product water TO or AWAY from your ships water tanks based on the water quality set-point. The valve also has a manual bypass in the evet of an electronics failure for back-up redundancy.
• Panel Mount TDS Continuous Meter with Alarm and Relay outputs. This will give you a continuous real-time reading of the product water quality with programmable audible alarm and controls the automatic 3-way valve to send the water to your tanks or a discharge location.  TDS Meter is present with values of 480ppm as the lower value to send the product water to your ships tank and 500ppm as the value to divert the product water away from your ships tank to a discharge location.
• Product Water Pressure Relief Valve.  Comes pre-plumbed on the 3-Way Valve assembly to prevent over pressurizing of the product water lines when valve is rotating.
• Auto TDS/Purge Switch.  The Purge Switch over-rides the TDS Meter Control of the 3-Way Valve and send the product water to the plumbing diversion line location.  When the Switch is in the “Auto TDS Position” the TDS Meter activates and continually monitors the product water and controls the 3-way valve sending the product water To or Away from the ships water tanks.

Continuous TDS Meter with Automatic motorized 3-Way Valve and Purge Bypass switch on Panel Option B

• 30ft of ¼” product water line and fittings. This is used to send the fresh drinking water to your tank.  Schenker provides an 8mm line, which in the USA can be difficult to find easily sourced fittings.   We provide the ¼” push-to-connect fittings that will end the hose in a male ¼” NPT to interface with your boat lines and fittings.
